Community
We are located in the heart of the Hudson Valley and we engage with our local community through our diverse programming.
Beyond our primary programming of residencies, we open our grounds seasonally to the community with family-friendly workshops, concerts and events. We collaborate with local arts organizations and other residency programs for connection and mutual support.
“An unexpected learning experience was how my residency partners navigated being married, co-parents, and active creative professionals. We shared our experiences over the years being professors and professional artists. These moments provided an informative model of how my partner and I can navigate academic and artistic careers.”
Interlude aims to provide longstanding and sustainable support to caregivers in the arts. To expand our reach, we hold yearly curated gallery exhibitions with alumni in NYC and the Hudson Valley, and associated events such as book readings, performances, family picnics, open studios and virtual workshops that bring together a larger group of Interlude artists and supporters. Interlude is also a sending institution for Pollinator, a new program of aligned peers for mutual support and peer coaching.
